Rising innovative art and technology company Shared_Studio is seeking to redefine Internet communication by creating interconnected environments from around the world where participants are able to communicate as if they were actually in the same physical space as the other. The Shared_Portals project specifically, uses shipping containers to creative these interactive spaces.
The container portals can be used for a huge variety of things from practicing a new language with a native speaker on the other side of the world to launching global conversations between political leaders.
The highly modified 20ft containers are outfitted with advanced audio and visual equipment and painted gold and can fit up to 8 people inside. They exist all over the world and have been introduced in countries such as the United States, Cuba, Germany, Rwanda, and Mexico so the portal is truly an international experience.
